The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):
Responsible for marketing and generating new insurance sales as well as being a professional advocate for all insurance related needs. Respond to all customer inquiries and requests with a high level of customer service.

Develops and directs marketing strategies in support of the AAA Brand and associated business priorities/initiatives. Guide the direction, development and execution of company integrated marketing plans, across all business lines, multiple states and among various customer segments and sales/distribution channels. Responsible for ongoing and comprehensive “marketing channel management” to support new sales and retention across all business lines. Directs strategic plans and development into new marketing channels to reach specific target segments and keep pace with industry and market trends and gain competitive advantage.

Maintain expert knowledge of the AAA Brand to develop marketing strategies in support of the Brand and guide business strategy. Marketing strategies would encompass all consumer facing channels both existing/traditional and new channels as appropriate.

Develops, coordinates and maintains integrated marketing plans which are driven by member needs and expectations and that supports corporate strategy, financial and growth goals and provides business managers with support for product sales and promotion.

Support all sales/distribution channels with marketing and promotional support. Integrate local and centralized plans to enable a common customer experience.

Researches, plans, coordinates and directs the development of next-generation distribution channels required to satisfy member needs and expectations and gain competitive advantage. Identifies market segment opportunities, potential alliances, researches ideas, conducts feasibility analyses, and assesses profitability and compatibility with strategic plan.

Actively participates in various AAA National and industry committees and local boards.

Coordinates and performs specific functions as part of the core team of cross-functional staff, leveraging other staff from across the Company, as appropriate.

Recommends product enhancements with appropriate business unit and determines test markets for proposed enhancements, including distribution methods.

Designs, champions and coordinates the execution of roll-out strategies for high priority products and services by market segment. In doing so, develops marketing and promotional campaigns, including direct sales, advertising and merchandising

Develops, secures approval of and implements policies and procedures as well as plans and budgets necessary to achieve agreed-upon short- and long-term goals for areas of responsibility.

Determines and follows up on work assignments, projects and tasks for areas and allocates resources; as necessary; and monitors operating results to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality and service objectives are met.

Selects, trains, develops, directs, evaluates the performance of and, when necessary, disciplines and discharges subordinates. Assists subordinates with difficult employee relations problems and ensures affirmative action goals are attained.

Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature, and attending related seminars, conferences and the like. Is a serious student of marketing research and maintain competitive knowledge and insights.

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other closely related area. Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.

Fifteen – twenty years of experience in multiple capacities of marketing, including creation and execution of successful business development and growth programs, attainment of specific customer and product growth goals, success in direct response environments and successful management of marketing resources.

Is a results-oriented, motivational team builder.

Work Environment:

Work in a temperature controlled office environment. Willingness and ability to work extended/irregular hours to include weekends/holidays.
