CMO, Booksy – San Francisco

Recently named one of Built in Chicago’s 50 Startups to watch in 2018, Booksy is a robust mobile booking solution for small businesses specializing in the health and beauty industry. Currently rolled out in 30 countries, and booking over 1 million appointments monthly, Booksy creates a convenient and easy connection between customers and their health and beauty providers while utilizing everyone’s favorite can’t-live-without accessory – their cell phone.

With 120 employees spanning across 5 countries, Booksy is thriving and seeking an innovative trailblazer to take the reigns as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and make a game-changing impact on more than just the company, but the health and beauty the industry as a whole. As CMO at Booksy you will lead the process of introducing the European Software brand to the American online beauty marketplace securing its status as a widely recognized and unprecedented health and beauty software brand in the both the US and globally.

In this role the CMO will be closely collaborating with other C-level executives in areas of product, sales and marketing. You’ll lead cross-functional teams of colleagues from sales, product, and marketing, as well as contracted specialists/agencies in order to deliver exceptional brand experience. This position is best suited for someone with a strong bias for action and excellent communication skills who is comfortable working both horizontally and vertically across an organization to keep multiple projects and priorities moving forward to achieve agreed upon deadlines.

Responsibilities:
360 degrees brand strategist and guardian; oversee all marketing projects and initiatives
Lead the development and implementation of digital content, strategies, and best practices
Onsite and In-app communication strategy and execution
Construct and lead marketing teams in the US and Poland to own all facets of marketing
Develop Merchandising strategy
Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth and monitor competitors’ activities
Industry events presence planning
Building up and managing the ambassadors and influencers community
Social media and content marketing communication
Work effectively cross-functionally to ensure team participation and promote a culture of constant improvement
Create and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness and sales growth
Requirements:
Extensive and relevant experience as a CMO, VP of Marketing, or Senior Marketing Manager in e-commerce, online apps, or SaaS team (3+ years)
Passionate about understanding and meeting the needs of the customer
Strategic capability and experience in marketing plan development; situation assessment, strategy and tactical plan development
10+ years of marketing experience with a strong digital marketing background
Experience in high growth, high profile, e-commerce preferred
Expertise in digital marketing and brand development via various advertising channels
Experience connecting business strategy with ever-changing market and digital trends
Confidence in concepting as well as executing brand communication projects
Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns
Experience in collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic environment
Experience working with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
Proven track record of developing and leading a team of marketing professionals
A hands-on, flexible, team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment to drive projects forward
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A solid point-of-view and a collaborative nature
Passion for growing business through strategic marketing
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field, MBA strongly preferred
Proven track record of working effectively as a part of, or with, a C-level team
A well-rounded leader who has business acumen/experience encompassing all areas of marketing (product, program development, digital/web/social media, strategy, marketing operations and measurement, research, events, PR, branding)
