Newforma is known for its innovative Project Information Management (PIM) software offerings for the Architectural, Engineering, Construction and Owner markets. It is a venture backed company with recurring revenues of $40M USD, over 1400 customers and 240 employees worldwide. We have initiated a global expansion plan to grow revenue, increase market share and acquire new customers. Newforma is launching a new generation of cloud services and mobile applications in 2017 to open up the SMB market and to modernize the customer experience for existing customers. As a result new Marketing Leadership is needed to help us achieve our growth objectives.
The EVP Marketing/CMO reports to the CEO and will lead marketing strategy and execution globally. Reporting to the EVP Marketing / CMO is a Director of Content Management, Director of Demand Generation, Director of Events and Director of Industry Marketing with a total headcount of 10 members of the marketing team.

Oversee development of strategic messaging and product positioning
Identify and promote differentiation of the company solution/family of products
Improve company brand/identity, messaging externally, social media footprint, customer & industry awareness
Lead the content marketing, product marketing, industry marketing, web marketing, field marketing, marketing communications and corporate marketing functions globally
Support sales teams in their efforts to execute on their business, revenue and growth objectives by delivering content, marketing materials, sales tools and other resources.
Generate highly qualified leads for the global sales team
Oversee execution of global/social media marketing plans with quantifiable objectives
Develop, cultivate, manage and improve relationships with industry thought leaders, press and editors.
Improve Newforma executive presence at industry events, etc.
Establish Newforma as a thought leader
A demonstrable proven track record with the following:
Promoting a company’s brand, image, messaging, social media footprint
Strategically, creatively positioning a product(s) into the market leader
Creating measurable differentiation for a family of products/platform
Proven experience in formulating and operationalizing lead generation for sales
Securing oneself or other company executives as keynotes, presenter, panelists at industry tradeshows and conferences
Increasing market share, revenue, customer awareness
Supporting, partnering with sales team on lead generation, sales enablement, training and content which produces repeatable/predictable revenue
Developing, cultivating, managing relationships with industry thought leaders, press and editors
Successfully launched products in EMEA, North America and APAC
Ability to track and provide metrics relative to programs and results
Should also have:
Worked for a smaller company (at least once)
Been Head of Marketing when a company scaled customer acquisition from $40M to $100M
A proven track record of developing and positioning company and products strategically
A willingness and ability to travel as required
Inherited, then transformed a team versus building it organically
High moral character, ethics, integrity
A willingness to openly debate, be transparent & candid, and check his/her ego at the door
An executive presence, with excellent communication (verbal & written) skills
A sense of humor
Education : BS equivalent, MS or MBA is preferred
