Summary
The Marketing Planning Analyst is part of the team that is responsible for the Marketing Plan and the analysis of the Viking River Cruises‰Ûª and Viking Ocean Cruises‰Ûª lines of business. The candidate will have an MBA, strong quantitative skills, and preferably top-tier consulting or investment banking background. The skills required are to be well-organized, have an analytical background, have a strong ability to define and scope meaningful analyses, and have enthusiasm for his/her work. The candidate must be a good collaborator, as they will coordinate across all marketing departments, and coordinate with the Financial Planning & Analysis department. The candidate will work closely with senior management on analyses, weekly reporting, and business planning. Candidate will have responsibility for Marketing ROI analysis and marketing performance analysis. The position reports directly to VP of Marketing Planning.

Job Description
‰Û¢ Development and preparation of long term and annual marketing plan
‰Û¢ The marketing plan covers such elements as: consumer research, demand forecasting, competitive analysis, fleet deployment, itinerary planning, product planning, pricing, determination of marketing mix, timing of marketing initiatives
‰Û¢ Monitor performance against plan and make proposals for corrective action
‰Û¢ Perform strategic business analyses
‰Û¢ Perform analysis and prepare recommendations related to new business development
‰Û¢ Review marketing spend and analyze trends affecting marketing effectiveness
‰Û¢ Support cross-marketing channel analysis and reporting
‰Û¢ Ad-hoc analysis and reporting

Requirements
‰Û¢ MBA
‰Û¢ Strong analytical ability
‰Û¢ Strong communication & collaboration skills
‰Û¢ Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
‰Û¢ Experience from top-tier consulting or investment banking preferred
‰Û¢ Marketing planning / strategic planning experience a plus
‰Û¢ SQL / SAS knowledge a plus
