Deutsch was founded in 1981 by Chairman Bill Deutsch to market quality wines produced by prestigious families and vineyards, from major wine producing regions of the world. In 2009, Deutsch announced the Company’s expansion into a Spirits Portfolio. The Company has built numerous category leaders including: the #1 selling brand in the U.S., the #1 imported brand in the U.S., the #1 Australian brand in the U.S., and the #1 French Brand in the U.S.
As a critical component of Deutsch’s growth strategy, the new “VP, Brand Development, Spirits” will oversee all aspects of Brand Development and Marketing—both Consumer and Trade—for Deutsch’s portfolio of Spirits brands, which includes Luksusowa Vodka, Redemption Whiskey, Bib & Tucker Bourbon, and Masterson’s Rye Whiskey, among others. As a business owner, they will also have accountability for delivering the portfolio’s annual revenue, case volume, and profitability objectives. Reporting directly into Company President (Mr. Tom Steffanci), this “VP” position is based at Deutsch’s headquarters in Stamford, CT (a 50-minute train ride from midtown Manhattan). Deutsch employees also have the option to work from home one day/week.
The candidates we’re seeking have the following experience profile:
- Brand Management – CPG or equivalent; Positioning, Communications, Promotion, etc.
- Creative – Exceptional creative abilities with Communications, Packaging, In-Store
- Beverage Alcohol – Director level experience Marketing Spirits (ideally Whiskey or Vodka)
- Trade Marketing – Experience at the Retail level; could even be a skilled Trade Marketer
